Following 4-days of learning at the NCTE Conference, I headed for a west coast vacation to New Mexico.
While relaxing after a day of hiking in the spectaualr canyons of this beautiful state,
I documented some of what I learned.
I captured my learning with some images on these slides.
If interested, take a look.
Each slide seems like a small slice, capturing a LARGE few days of learning!
Sally,
I love how you used slides to capture your learning! Great visuals of so many slices. Each slide could be an entire conversation and yet so many also overlap and intersect! Yay, NCTE22!

Your slides made me want to be back in the classroom (well, almost!) They show either the conference’s values, definitely your values, of using education to promote social justice. I will take away thinking about what is visible and what is invisible. And I will be thinking about if the Mars rover is lonely! (Shows how a simple idea/question can be an inspiration!)

I’m so glad you created and shared these slides. How thoughtful! It’s been some time since I’ve been to a literacy conference, and you brought back the excitement of new learning and activities to try immediately back in the classroom. Thank you for giving me a little piece of NCTE Anaheim 22.

Sally, Looking at your slides, I realized we were in many of the same sessions together. I like how you organized this into an easily accessible slide show. I need to take the time to go back to my photos and notes to do this.

Sally, such a thoughtful idea to create slides of your learning! Looks like it was a fabulous conference – a heady experience to be with so many other amazing teachers. I love that book by Breanna McDaniel; I read it to my preschoolers many times – lucky you, to meet her!

What a gift to be able to see a little of what happened in Anaheim! It was fun to participate via your slideshow (no long lines to the women’s bathroom, no hallway traffic, no commute)!
Sara Ahmed! Glad you got to meet her in person. She is doing such good work. Very generous of you to make your learning visible.
