A sign…a sigh…

Since March 13th, I’ve found comfort in writing about the signs I see.

New blooms while taking neighborhood walks.

Fliers and yard signs supporting BLM.

Little league pitchers taking to the mound.

Today, I hung this sign and ribbon on my front yard tree.

RIP, Congressman John Lewis. #GoodTrouble

What will be your #GoodTrouble??

What an amazing man!! Thanks for your question. I think my “good trouble” will be to be braver and more forceful in fighting for equity in my district. Here’s to good trouble continuing to shape our world for the better.

be braver….I like that idea. I hope I can do something always to keep Senator Lewis’ spirit alive! As a Reading 6 teacher, I plan to read-aloud his March graphic novel and as a family member, I plan to give all my extended family members his book.

All the attention given to the good trouble of John Lewis is inspiring. Today I listened to his interview on On Being. We have so much yet to learn.
